Elizabeth Bailey, written 1761, proved 1762

In the Name of God Amen. I Elizabeth Bailey widow of Peter Bailey late of Ashwell in the County of Hertford Victualer Deceased, being weak of Body, but of sound and perfect Mind and Memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, and considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life, do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following (that is to say) I desire that all my Debts and Funeral charges be paid and discharged by my Executors hereinafter Named, Item I give and Bequeath all my Personal Estate Goods Chattles Moneys Debts dues and Demands of what Kind or Nature soever, unto my loving Nephew Peter Bailey of Ashwell aforesaid and to my Daughter Deborah Brownwell Wife of Twyford Brownwell of Clerks Hall in Wood Street London, to be Divided between them according to the following Manner, one Third part of my said Effects to my said Nephew Peter Bailey and the other two Thirds parts thereof, to my said Daughter Deborah Brownwell, Hopeing that they will make no differance about parting the same. And I do hereby appoint Mr Robert Thurgood of Baldock Brewer and my said Nephew Peter Bailey Executors to this my Last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills heretofore made by me declaring this to be my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Twentieth Day of November in the Second Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third, of Great Britain France and Ireland, King Defender of the faith &c and in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and sixty one.
