In the name of God Amen I Sarah Plomer of Ashwell in ye County of Hertford
Being weak in Body but of Good & Perfect Memory Thanks be to Almighty God
and Calling to Remembrance ye Uncertain Estate of this Life and yt all flesh
must yield unto death when it shall please God to Call Do make Constitute
Ordaine & declare this my last Will & Testament in manner & forme
following: Revoking & adnulling by these presents all & every Testament
and Testaments Will and Wills by me heretofore made & declared either by
Word or Writing & this is to be taken for my last Will & Testament only
& none other: And first being Penitent & sorry from ye Bottom of my
heart for my sins past most humbly desiring forgiveness for ye same: I Give
& Committ my soule unto Almighty God my Saviour & Redeemer in whom &
by ye meritts of Jesus Christ I trust & believe Assuredly to be saved &
to have full Remission & forgioveness of all my sins: And my Body to Be
buried in such Place where it shall please my Executor hereafter named to
appoints And now For ye settling of my Temporall Estate & such Goods
Chattells & Debts as it hath pleased God to Bestow upon me far above my
deserts I do Order Give & dispose in manner & forme following (viz)
First I will yt all those Debts & Duties as I Owe in Right ot Conscience to
any manner of Person or [Persons] whatsoever shall be well & truly Contented
& Paid or Ordained to be paid within Convenient time after my Decease by me
Executor hereafter named Item I Give & Bequeath unto My Honoured &
dearly Beloved Mother Ann Sell the Interest of Four score pounds of Lawfull
Money of Great Brittain to be paid to her after my decease during ye whole Terme
of her naturall Life after ye rate of Five Pounds per Centum per Annum as it
shall become due And after ye decease of my sd Mother I do Order & dispose
of ye sd Four score Pounds as followeth First I Give & Bequeath Unto my
Brother John Plomer ye Sume of twenty Pounds being one Part of ye sd Four score
Pounds If he lives to return into England to demand it when due he now being
supposed to be beyond ye seas If he doth not then my Will & Meaning is yt ye
said Twenty Pounds be Equally divided between ye children Of my sister Anne
Passell wch are then living share & share alike Item I Give & Bequeath
unto my Brother William Sell ye sume of Ten Pounds another Part of ye aforesaid
Four score Pounds to be paid Him when it comes due Item I Give & Bequeath
unto my Brother Francis Sell ye sume of Twenty Pounds One more Part of ye
aforesaid Four score Pounds to be paid him when becomes due Item I Give &
Bequeath unto John Ossman ye son of my sister Elizabeth Ossman ye sume of Tenn
Pounds One more Part of ye aforesaid Four score to be likewise paid him when it
Becomes due Item I Give & Bequeath unto my Cousin Mary Bradbury Daughter of
my sister Elizabeth Ossman ye sume of Twenty Pounds being Residue &
Remainder of ye aforesaid Four score Pounds [to be paid when] it becomes due
Also my Will & Meaning is yt if any of those four persons Before Mentioned (viz)
William Sell Francis Sell John Ossman & Mary Bradbury shall Depart this ..herall
life before his her or their Legacies shall become due That then ye said Legacie
or Legacies of ye deceased shall be equally divided between ye survivors of them
share & share alike Item I Give & Bequeath unto my Loving Aunt Mary
Osborne the Wife of William Osborne ye sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid her after
my decease Item I Give & Bequeath unto my Honoured Mother Anne Sell
aforesaid all my Apparell & Wearing Cloaths & my other Movable Goodes
And Lastly I Give & Bequeath unto my Loving Uncle George Plomer whom I make
full & sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament all other my Goods
Chattells & debts whatsoever unbequeathed Only Reserving Power to my selfe
to Adde one more Codicill at my Will & Pleasure In Witness whereof I have
hereunto sett my hand and seale the sifth day of May In ye yeare of Our Lord
Christ One Thousand seaven Hundred & nine And in the seaventh yeare of her
Majesties Reigne. Signed sealed published and declared as my Last Will and
Testament
